Internships in the Washington, DC and Ohio offices of Senator Rob Portman offer college-aged students an exciting introduction to the U.S. Senate and the workings of a Senate office.  

Interns are assigned to work alongside staff responsible for the Senator’s legislative, press, and administrative operations.

Internships are designed primarily for students who have completed at least one full year of collegiate undergraduate coursework. Preference is given to students who are residents of Ohio.

Students who wish to apply for a summer 2013 internship with Senator Portman should complete the application below and also submit the following: 1) resume; 2) one page explanation of interest in the internship; and 3) two letters of recommendation.

The application deadline for summer 2013 is March 5, 2013.
