Sen. Paul Issues Letter to FEMA on Behalf of Lyon County
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Sen. Rand Paul today issued a letter to the administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) citing concerns of Lyon County residents whose property has been incorrectly remapped into the 100-year Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA). Properties zoned in this area are required by law to acquire flood insurance based on the threat designation of the area. -

Sen. Paul Speaks Against a Rush to War
WASHINGTON, D.C. - This evening, the U.S. Senate voted on Amendment No. 3245 to the National Defense Authorization Act, which would require a report on military activities to deny or significantly degrade the use the use of air power against civilian and opposition groups in Syria. Sen. Rand Paul voiced his opposition to the amendment, noting that Congress should not require the military to disclose its plans without debate nor should the amendment contain language authorizing the use of force. -

Sen. Paul Declares Victory for Americans Right to Trial by Jury
This evening, the U.S. Senate voted on Amendment No. 3018 to the National Defense Authorization Act sponsored by Sens. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) and Mike Lee (R-Utah), and co-sponsored by Sen. Rand Paul, which protects the rights prescribed to Americans in the Sixth Amendment of the Constitution with regard to indefinite detention and the right to a trial by jury. -
