Inauguration Ticket Requests

President Obama’s Inauguration will take place at noon on Monday, January 21, 2013, on the West Front of the U.S. Capitol.

The Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies will provide each congressional office with a very limited number of tickets to the swearing-in ceremony.

My office will take requests for up to 4 tickets from Michigan residents only.  Only one request per mailing address will be entered into a lottery to distribute the tickets.  All ticket requests must be submitted by using the form below by Wednesday, December 19.

Every Michiganian who requests tickets to the swearing-in ceremony will be notified in early January as to whether or not they will receive tickets.  Tickets must be picked up in my Washington, D.C. office in the days before the Inauguration.  No tickets will be mailed.

Due to the high demand for tickets, we unfortunately will not be able to accommodate everyone’s request.   We also cannot guarantee that if your name is selected you will receive the number of tickets you requested.

While tickets for the swearing-in are required for the viewing areas closest to the U.S. Capitol, the National Mall will be open to the public for those wishing to attend the Inauguration.
