Welcome! Washington, D.C. is a city with something to offer everyone. To help you plan your visit I have included descriptions and links to some of the most popular attractions in our Nation’s Capital. All tours are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted. My office can also send you an information booklet that may be helpful in planning your visit. While visiting Washington, you can use Metro or a Circulator bus to get around town.

Your visit to the historic U.S. Capitol begins with the new Capitol Visitor Center. To schedule a Capitol tour online, go to www.visitthecapitol.gov. The Senate visitors' gallery is not included in a tour of the U.S. Capitol, and Senate gallery passes are required. The Senate visitors' gallery is open anytime the Senate is in session and from 9:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. when the Senate is in recess. You may pick up both Senate and House gallery passes from my office, room 269 of the Russell Senate Office Building.

With advance notice, congressional tours can be requested for the White House, the Pentagon, and the Bureau of Engraving and Printing by clicking on the "Request a Tour" button to the left and filling out the form. Please be advised that these tours are very limited and should be requested at least three months ahead of time. This is especially important if you are planning to visiting between March and August, our busiest time of the year. While we can never guarantee tickets for any tour, we will do our best to provide you with the tours you have requested.
