Letter Opposing Administration's Clean Water Act Guidance

March 28, 2012

Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman John L. Mica (R-FL) and Water Resources and Environment Subcommittee Chairman Bob Gibbs (R-OH) joined other Senate and House Committee leaders in writing to the Obama Administration opposing guidance proposed by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Army Corps of Engineers to dramatically expand federal regulation of waters across the country.

This guidance is a federal power grab and attempt to subvert the proper rulemaking process under the Administrative Procedure Act in order to increase federal authority under the Clean Water Act.
