The Subcommittee on Terrorism and Homeland Security

As Chairman and now Ranking Member of the Senate Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on Terrorism and Homeland Security, I have long fought to improve the federal government’s ability to prevent, defend against, and respond to the terrorist threat facing our nation.  The Subcommittee’s jurisdiction includes oversight of anti-terrorism enforcement and policy, electronic privacy and computer security, and the Freedom of Information Act.

The Subcommittee has convened hearings on a variety of issues, including vulnerabilities in our nation’s border security and immigration laws, identity theft, and the detention of individuals captured in the war against the terrorists.

Below you will find witness lists, testimony, and transcripts from each of the Subcommittee’s hearings.
