I am very pleased to be able to offer Nebraskans who are celebrating special occasions the opportunity to have an American flag flown over the U.S. Capitol on any day of the year, except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. Flags are available in different sizes and materials, as noted below, and can be shipped directly to you.

Please allow 4-6 weeks to process a request, due to congressional mail screening procedures and demand for flags. However, flag payments cannot be held by our office for more than 60 days. If you have any questions, please call my office at 202-224-4224 and ask for the Flag Coordinator.

Each flag will be accompanied with a certificate signed by the Architect of the Capitol certifying that the flag was flown over the United States Capitol. In addition, you can personalize the certificate to commemorate a special occasion at no extra cost. This certificate will include the date it was flown over the capitol. To request a flag to be flown on a particular day or for a special occasion, please provide the following information, so that we can include the appropriate information on the flag certificate.

Normal processing time for flags flown over the Capitol is 4 to 6 weeks. However, flag payments cannot be held by our office for more than 60 days. All prices listed are at cost, and no profit is incurred.
