The U.S. Congress Joint Economic Committee released the eleventh installment of its “Understanding the Economy: State-by-State Snapshots” 2012 series, which provides easy access to the major economic indicators in all 50 states and the District of Columbia in the areas of jobs, unemployment, personal earnings and housing. • Jobs saved or created by the Recovery Act;
• Unemployment rates;
• Per capita earnings; and,
• The condition of the housing sector.
