While you’re there, you can get to know the Chairman by reading his brief biography, which details such experiences as his 25-year career in the U.S. Marine Corps, during which he served as personal military aide to Presidents Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan and carried the nuclear “football.”
Inside the committee also provides a list of publications and resources from which you can review the Rules of the Committee and the U.S. House of Representatives or examine the committee’s oversight plan and budget views. You can also find a compilation of federal education and labor laws, and links to legislative reports from the current Congress.
