Order a Flag Flown Over the U.S. Capitol
My office can arrange to have an American flag flown over the United States Capitol to honor special occasions, events and holidays. Flags cannot be flown on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.
How the Ordering Process Works
- Determine the size flag you would like and the cost of that flag:

- Complete the Flag Request Form and mail with a check or money order to the following address:

All prices include cost of flag, shipping, and the Architect of the Capitol flying fees. Checks should be made out to "Keeper of the Stationery"
- For the best results, mail in your order form six weeks before your specified fly date. Please allow for 4-6 weeks for delivery after your requested fly date. We make every effort to make this process as efficient and convenient as possible. However, due to increased security screening, Senate mail can take 4-5 weeks for delivery.
- Please do not send requests more than five months in advance. For example, if you wish to have a flag flown on March 1, you should send your order form on January 14. From that order, expect to receive your flag back on April 14.
