When Rep. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) was nine, she had a serious childhood illness and spent three months in the hospital. Her grandparents, who were raising her, found out that their family insurance coverage didn't cover her. But if that weren't enough, when her grandparents then looked for insurance that would cover her, they could not find coverage at any price. She was considered a kid with a pre-existing medical condition.

Now, thanks to the Affordable Care Act, families do not have to worry that their children will be denied coverage because of a pre-existing condition. Yet Republicans want to tear up the law and go back to a world where insurance companies can deny children care. This is simply wrong.

You are one of my favorite Congresswomen, Mrs. Baldwin. And you are damn right. This bill brings much more good than bad, and is one step in the right direction of universal healthcare. The GOP just dislike that it is a Democratic decision and are crying foul at Obama, pouting lies that it is a tax and that it will doom the country. Give me a break. Those who have pre-existing conditions can now get the care they need. Again, thanks for speaking on behalf of common scene and medical security, T.
