WASHINGTON – Congressman Charles F. Bass (NH-02) issued the following statement today after State Senator John Gallus announced he was retiring at the end of his term.

Bass said:

"I've had the opportunity to work with Senator Gallus for more than a decade, and there is no stronger advocate for the North Country fighting to improve the region's economy and preserve the area's natural resources. Senator Gallus has been an effective champion for his constituents, and I wish John and his wife Peggy all the best as they begin the next chapter in their lives."
