WASHINGTON – Congressman Charles F. Bass (NH-02) was recently named to three key subcommittees on the House Energy and Commerce Committee.

Bass will serve as a member of the Subcommittee on Communications and Technology, with oversight over interstate and foreign telecommunications policy; the Subcommittee on Environment and Economy, which focuses on environmental regulations and their economic impact; and the Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade, which oversees consumer protection and product liability, among other issues.

Bass said:

"I'm honored to be named to these three extremely important subcommittees. This year, the Committee will be tackling a host of issues important to the people of New Hampshire and across the country, from expanding broadband access to rural communities, to reforming health care, to ensuring we make it easier for businesses to grow and create jobs. I look forward to working with my colleagues on this busy agenda."
