WASHINGTON – Congressman Charles F. Bass (NH-02) issued the following statement today after a massive 8.9-magnitude earthquake and tsunami struck Japan last night.

Bass said:

"My heart goes out to the people of Japan this morning following this terrible tragedy, and I know the people of New Hampshire join me in keeping them in our thoughts and prayers on this sad day. As Japan begins to recover from this devastating disaster, the people of the United States stand ready to help our friend and ally."
