CONCORD, NH – Congressman Charles F. Bass (NH-02) today announced his strong support for Governor John Lynch's request for a federal disaster declaration for all 10 counties in New Hampshire as a result of Hurricane Sandy.

Bass said:

"The worst of the storm has passed, but more than 200,000 Granite Staters remain without power, many roads across the state are impassable, and trees are downed everywhere. I strongly support Governor Lynch's federal disaster declaration request to help recover from this storm and stand ready to support the state's application in any way that I can. A federal disaster declaration will help local communities across the state with the rebuilding process.

"As we begin to clean up in the Granite State, our thoughts and prayers remain with the people in New York, New Jersey, and eastern Pennsylvania and every other area who sustained severe damages and flooding as a result of the storm."

Bass' Concord Office, located at 114 North Main Street, Suite 202, in Concord (phone: 603-226-0064) and his Nashua Office, located at 70 East Pearl Street in Nashua (phone: 603-595-7701) will be open today from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to assist constituents.
