- Joining members of the Tompkins Family and other local officials in Hudson for the official groundbreaking of the new Zach Tompkins Memorial Stadium. The new stadium will provide a home for the Hudson-Litchfield Bears football team and will be built with donations and not taxpayer dollars.
- Answering questions from employees at Smiths Medical in Keene during an employee town hall meeting at the company. Some of the issues we discussed were the 2.3 percent tax on medical device manufacturers in the new health care law, which will affect companies like Smiths that produce products for the health care industry and employ hundreds of Granite Staters.

Windham Patch has a write up of the ribbon cutting at Castle Commons last night.- Joining in the ribbon cutting for the new Castle Commons medical park on Range Road in Windham on October 18, 2012 with representatives from the Greater Salem Chamber of Commerce, Southern New Hampshire Internal Medicine, Derry Medical Center, and other practices.
- I was honored to present Gene Patnaude of Marlow (center) with several medals this morning for his service to our nation during the Vietnam War. Patnaude served as a scout sniper in the U.S. Marine Corps and was stationed in Vietnam with K...Company, 3rd Battalion, in the 7th Marine Regiment of the 1st Marines Division. During his service, Patnaude was severely wounded, having been blown 12 feet into the air. After spending eight months in military hospitals, Patnaude was able to return home to recover from his life-threatening wounds. Joining Gene at the medal ceremony was his 12-year-old grandson, Kellin Cushing. Gene is receiving 11 medals for his distinguished service, including the Purple Heart.See More
