Welch calls on BP to suspend dividend payments and marketing campaigns

Rep. Peter Welch (D-Vt.), Rep. Lois Capps (D-Calif.), Rep. Paul Tonko (D-Ny.) and Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.) led a press conference Wednesday morning calling on BP to suspend dividend payments and PR campaigns until it halts the flow of oil into the Gulf of Mexico and cleans up the spill.

Welch, Capps, Tonko, Cohen and 44 other members of Congress are sending a letter Wednesday to BP CEO Tony Hayward calling on the company to put progress before profits and PR.
