  • Just remember: Puerto Ricans cannot lose their American citizenship despite the fears the PNP wants to put on us. By law we'd be given double citizenship if we gain independance. So dont be afraid to lose your American citizenship. You won't.

  • It's also important to let congress know that the current party in charge has been lying to PRicans on what it would mean for them to become a state. They are promising PRIcans more federal funds, independent representation in things like Sports Teams (i.e. Olympics) & Beauty Pageants, Spanish will stay as the official language and more. The PNP Party in charge is deceiving its supporters with half truths and lies just to get the votes necessary for PR to receive its statehood.

  • It is not a bright "Republican" idea telling Puerto Ricans that they will receive a lot of money from the taxpayer. This Republican is saying how good is Government spending, and the more money spent, the best. Instead. he should say that Puerto Ricans have to work more and better. Learn to manufacture and be productive. Not just living from the Government. This Socialist Republican is wrong.

  • @EchoEight ...what ever man estas repitiendo lo mismo...nobody said that English is not official in PR as spanish is too remember (el papel aguanta todo) it might be official but its not the reality of everyday PR..and as i told you no even the state school system teaches English as a first language. its semantics in those states that have multiple languages English is first and its the everyday language for everything the other ones are for minorities or just regional customs like in Louisiana

  • @PUNKDUDE1991 The law don't talk about first or second language. The laws only talk about OFFICIAL LANGUAGES, ENGLISH AND SPANISH ARE BOTH OFFICIALS LANGUAGES, AND THAT'S IT. And as I told you before the issue of the Language is a Local affair Not a federal Affair.United States have no official language because the language Affair are conducted on each state not by federal Government. Of Course that If Puerto Rico Become a state, the Congressmen that represent PR have to know English.

  • @EchoEight ...yes but unlike PR in those states the oder languages are secondary...like in Texas with Spanish and in Louisiana with French....PR is not that way... English is a secondary language even though they are both the official languages of the commonwealth English is just in the law is not the reality of those states..again even in the law SPANISH IS FIRST thats just how it is man and if you did not study in a private school English is a secondary and in some cases even third

  • @PUNKDUDE1991 You need to verify clearly the local laws of Puerto Rico. Booth language are official, but that doesn't mean that English are excluded. By the way there is too many states that have more than two language as a official Like Louisiana, Texas, etc. Because the issue about the language is a local affair not a federal affair. I understand the concern that many have about this issue but the language affair is a local Affair, not a Federal Affair.

  • @MetroDreamer English is official here in Puerto Rico but it might as well not be because we don't use it to communicate daily. Spanish is always going to be our dominant and prefered language.

  • @ThePhantom2K9 La ciudadania no tiene nada que ver con una identidad nacional. Puerto Rico ES mi pais y siempre sera mi pais.

  • @EchoEight ...you keep saying in every video that English is the official in Puerto Rico When in reality English a second language .......even in the bill that made English a main language (which by the way was pass less than 20 years ago by this same political party to shove statehood down our throats ) says...

"The official languages of the commonwealth of PR are SPANISH and English"....

English has always been a second language in PR...even the people who promote statehood made it that way

  • It's funny how the Puerto Ricans are like 'My country' lol I'm part Puerto Rican too and I'm like, '¿Que? Estás equivocado. Es una posibilidad, pero ahora, no lo es. Además, ustedes diciendo que no quieren ser estadounidenses, sino que tienen la ciudadanía!
