Military Service Academy Nominations

Congresswoman Kay Granger is now accepting applications from residents of the 12th Congressional District interested in attending one of the nation's military service academies and who have met the eligibility requirements.

Congresswoman Kay Granger makes nominations to the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy for the class of 2015 which begins in the summer of 2011.

The application deadline for the class of 2015 is October 18, 2010

In June, Congresswoman Granger announced the following military service academy appointments for the class graduating in 2014:

James Anderson, U.S. Military Academy, Paschal High School

Leigha Bednar, U.S. Air Force Academy, Fossil Ridge High School

Vanessa Covarrubias, U.S. Naval Academy, South Hills High School

Shaun Dyson,U.S. Air Force Academy, Fossil Ridge High School

In addition, Heather Shepard, who has been attending the U.S. Air Force Prep School received an appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy

Finally, the following students will attend a prep school:

Victoria-Rose Godfirnon, Saginaw High School, will go to the Air Force Academy Prep School

Andrew Rekieta, Fort Worth Country Day, will go to Northwestern Prep School

Persons interested in applying must submit a current application form dated 2/1/2010. Please discard any previous applications. You can download the current application packet below, or contact the district office at:
