CloudContacts Now Turns Handshakes into Salesforce Leads

Svetlana Gladkova

CloudContacts Now Turns Handshakes into Salesforce Leads When it comes to sales, I know one thing for sure: I am an absolute zero in sales. Fortunately, my work is not related to sales – I’m sure I would have starved if I had to sell something to support myself. I have tried to sell a piece of software once amidst the recent recession as a form to diversify income sources – and failed miserably so instead of diversification I just got a huge number of wasted hours.

And since people tend to admire the qualities that they don’t possess, I definitely admire sales people and their mysterious talents of persuading others into buying something that they sometimes don’t even need.

Since I do admire them, I definitely think that they deserve the best in software, web and mobile applications to boost their productivity...When it comes to sales, I know one thing for sure: I am an absolute zero in sales. Google Hurries to Congratulate Russia on World Cup Results… and Offends Russians Google is well known for its passion to various doodles to celebrate tons of global and local events – quite frequently the company changes its logo on the pages of all the local domains or only on specific ones depending on the event of the day. Of course Russian football fans and pretty much everyone else are exceptionally pleased with the opportunity and celebrating...

How Many Twitter Accounts Does Your President Have?

Svetlana Gladkova

How Many Twitter Accounts Does Your President Have? A president of a country can definitely be considered an open-minded and tech-aware progressive person when he or she has a Twitter account. After all, it is the most fashionable way to connect to citizens online these days. But what if a president actually has as many as two Twitter accounts? I really don’t know but I have a feeling that the Russian president Medvedev is sometimes overdoing his online activities.

He is extremely active online with a video blog, a Twitter account and his regular communications with Russian people online...

iPhone 4 Already in Scarcity in Russia

Svetlana Gladkova

iPhone 4 Already in Scarcity in Russia Apple is a strange company when it comes to Russia: while it has quite a lot of loyal fans here including our own president who seems to be the biggest fan, the company frequently acts like it does not care about the market and its potential at all. The company keeps delaying launches of its ultra popular products and negotiates prices with local retailers that make Apple gadgets far from affordable for the majority of population of the country.

In this situation it is really no wonder that most people who desire a specific device by Apple that is not available find a way to get it outside of the official market...

Svetlana Gladkova

Do you believe in the power of social media? Of course you do if you are reading this post now because people who read this blog are mostly related to the online crowd in this way or another. But the truth is that the mainstream media still make more difference when it comes to promoting a product (even if it is an online service like Twitter) or turning an online celebrity into a world-famous personality that everyone talks about...

Svetlana Gladkova

$17 Thousand for a Few Online Hours on iPhone in Roaming Last week the blogosphere in Russia discussed yet another interesting topic regarding the famous Apple’s device and a huge bill sent to one of subscribers of a local mobile carrier for some international exuberance. And since the summer full of vacations abroad is in full play, the story quickly got to be a very hot one though there’s nothing particularly special about it – nothing but the amount of the bill involved: $17 thousand from a cell phone carrier after a vacation abroad...

Svetlana Gladkova

Russian Village Almost Got Named after a Torrent Website in a Publicity Stunt I know this may sound ridiculous and even unbelievable but the story has actually received huge attention in the Russian news sources and blogs – as it the story is actually true. I’ve checked, the news is not dated April 1st no matter how appropriate it could be for the day but the entire Russian blogosphere is now discussing how Russia now supposedly has a village named after a website – and a website that works in the frequently criticized and discussed in courts field of torrent tracking and p2p sharing...
