National Security

Providing for the common defense is a central element to the Constitution and it is a responsibility I take seriously. At a time when we are fighting two wars, it is vital that we continue to support our men and women in uniform. We must provide all the resources necessary to succeed and protect us here at home. In addition, I support measures that ensure that the terrorists held in the Guantanamo Bay prison are not imported into the United States. We must remain vigilant when it comes to fighting terrorism and avoid becoming complacent, or else we risk another deadly attack on our people right here at home. I will do everything I can to make sure that America does not drop her guard. We cannot weaken our resolve in this deadly war.
