Congressman John Salazar honors fellow veterans and family members lost in service this Memorial Day

Joined by his son to honor those who have made the greatest sacrifice

Congressman Salazar places a rose to honor family members lost in service during Monday’s Memorial Day ceremony.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today U.S. Congressman John Salazar joined fellow veterans and their families in a moving Memorial Day ceremony in Durango. The Congressman was joined by his son, Esteban, a former member of the Colorado National Guard to pay tribute to fellow veterans and family members lost in service to our nation. Congressman Salazar’s father, Henry Salazar, was a veteran of the Second World War.
