CONGRESSMAN SALAZAR ANNOUNCES GRANT TO ARCHULETA, HINSDALE AND MINERAL COUNTIES

WASHINGTON, D.C. –  Congressman Salazar announced today that the US Department of Agriculture, Office of Rural Development has awarded a Community Facility Grant to the Upper San Juan Health Services District in Archuleta, Hinsdale and Mineral Counties.  “It is vital that emergency responders have the ability to communicate with one another, especially in rural areas.  This grant money will help these counties comply with federal standards and aid in the safety of the region.”  Salazar said.  This grant will be used to fund an enhanced communications system to allow the District to maintain and improve communications with emergency responders in the region.
