Congressman Salazar Announces Public Events in Southern Colorado

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Congressman John Salazar announced the following public events in Southern Colorado:

Mesa Verde Visitor Center Groundbreaking

WHO: U.S. Congressman John T. Salazar, Mayor of Cortez Dan Porter

WHAT:  Celebrating the groundbreaking of the Mesa Verde Visitor Center.  The center was funded with money Congressman Salazar secured through the Interior Appropriations bill and the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act.  

WHEN: Friday, October 15, 2010 at 10 a.m. Mountain

WHERE: Site of new Mesa Verde Visitor Venter; right at entrance of park, off to the left in the field by construction equipment.  

Rio Grande Initiative Celebration

WHO: U.S. Congressman John T. Salazar and residents of the San Luis Valley.

WHAT:  Celebrating the success of the Rio Grande Initiative in protecting water, land, and western values.
