Rep. Salazar Statement on Colorado Fires
Washington, DC – Today, United States Congressman John Salazar released the following statement regarding recent fires in Colorado that have affected the communities of Ordway, Carbondale and the Fort Carson area.
“I would like to extend my sincere condolences to the families of the brave men who lost their lives, while fighting to protect the lives of others. They lost their lives battling a fire that threatened life and property. Their loss is a tragedy. Their sacrifice is a lesson for us all.
“I will continue to closely monitor the fires across Colorado. I want to ensure our communities, as well as state and local officials, that they have the full support of my office. We must make sure they have the resources they need to fight these fires until the last flames are out.”
