Salazar says Colorado is the perfect place to kick off American Recovery and Reinvestment Act

Washington, D.C. – Congressman John Salazar issued the following statement in response the President Obama signing the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act in Denver, Colorado today:

“I’m glad that President Obama chose Colorado as the location for today’s signing of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. This is the perfect place to kick off this bold recovery initiative – we are no strangers to hardship, we know how to weather the long winters and bring growth from the rockiest of soils. Today’s action is necessary in light of the situation we face. While it’s one I support, it's a sober one that we take only in the face of serious need. It will help repair America’s aging infrastructure, cut taxes, and invest in new energy and the education of a 21st century workforce.”
