WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Rep. John Salazar announced that Wednesday, January 9th he will be at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, CO. The event will be open to the public.
Rep. Salazar will be on hand to discuss the $429,000 he secured for facilities and equipment for the new Saccomanno Education Center at St. Mary’s Hospital. Rep. Salazar will also be discussing H.R. 3939, legislation he introduced with Rep. John Doolittle (R-CA) to increase the safety for crew and passengers on aircraft providing emergency medical services. Colorado has seen three fatal crashes of EMS flights, all occurring in the Third District. The most recent was 3 months ago outside of Alamosa.
