WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Congressman John Salazar announced that $75,000 in federal funding has been allocated to rehabilitate Runway 7/25 and to install connector taxiway edge lighting at the Craig-Moffat County Airport. The rehabilitation of Runway 7/25 will extend the useful life of the existing pavement. Installation of the connector taxiway edge lights (e.g., reflective markers) will delineate the edge of the taxiway pavement and will provide guidance for aircraft operators at night and in low visibility conditions.
On this funding, Congressman Salazar offered the following statement:
“This funding will help the Craig-Moffat County Airport in its goal of providing safe and efficient air service for communities in Northwest Colorado,” said Congressman Salazar. “As a pilot I am proud to have supported this effort and I will continue to support projects like this, projects that will improve our infrastructure and strengthen our economy.”
