Dear [Name of Organization]:
As the Co-Chairs of the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues, we invite you to join us in cosponsoring a Capitol Hill event to be held April 24, 2007 in the Cannon Caucus Room of the Cannon House Office Building in Washington, DC to commemorate the 92nd anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
We wholeheartedly believe that the entire Armenian-American community should again come together in unified purpose to honor this special and solemn occasion under the auspices of the Armenian Caucus, the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia and the Armenian-American community. The precedent for this event in 2005 during the 90th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide created a renewed focus on reaffirmation efforts in Congress.
We urge you to again support our initiative to host the upcoming Capitol Hill observance of the Armenian Genocide. This event is important to Armenian-Americans and all Americans as we work collectively to not only ensure that genocide does not recur in the future but also collaborate on a commemoration worthy of the 92nd anniversary.
Sincerely,
Joe Knollenberg Frank Pallone, Jr.
