MEDIA ADVISORY - CAPITOL VISITOR CENTER MEDIA PREVIEW

Ms. Terrie S. Rouse, CEO for Visitor Services, announced today that the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center will be open for a special media preview on Monday, November 10. Credentialed media representatives are invited to attend a brief news conference hosted by Rouse and Stephen T. Ayers, AIA, Acting Architect of the Capitol. Tours of the facility will follow, along with the opportunity to view the 13-minute orientation film, “Out of Many, One.” Highlights of the guided tours include Emancipation Hall, the Exhibition Hall, two Gift Shops, the Restaurant, and the two Orientation Theaters. The Capitol Visitor Center will open to the public on Tuesday, December 2, 2008.
