The Changing Of The Guard: Senator Patrick Leahy Welcomes Senator Lindsey Graham As National Guard Caucus Co-Chair
On Tuesday, November 16, 2010, Senator Leahy joined Senator Kit Bond of Missouri and Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina in a joint press conference to announce that Senator Graham will take over Senator Bond's role as Republican Co-Chair of the Senate National Guard Caucus. This announcment represents a rare change in leadership for the influential caucus, which comprises 97 members of the Senate. Senator Leahy and Senator Bond have led the caucus together for a decade and have developed and implemented many necessary changes on behalf of the men and women of the National Guard.
