Visiting Washington DC

The Lincoln MemorialOur Nation's Capital is a city like no other. In it, you will be touched by the soul of our grand history, feel the heartbeat of our vigorous democracy at work, and sense the vital spirit of our dreams for the future.

I would like you to consider my Senate office your home away from home, and my staff and me your family here. It would be my pleasure to assist you in arranging tours of the various sites in Washington, D.C. You should know, however, that the visitor offices set a limited weekly quota for each office which is quickly filled, especially during the peak tourist season. However, public tours are available on a first come, first served basis.

If you would like my assistance in arranging for you a tour of the Capitol Building, White House and Kennedy Center, please call my Honolulu office at (808) 522-8970. The White House requires tour requests six months in advance for security reasons.  Please provide me with the following information:

   1. Your name, address and daytime phone number
   2. Names and addresses of other people in your party
   3. Date you will be leaving Hawaii
   4. Arrival and departure dates
   5. Name of hotel in D.C.
   6. Dates you will be available for tours

I would also be happy to send you brochures to assist you in planning your stay in our Nation's Capital.

If you are a resident of a state other than Hawaii, please contact the Senators or Congresspersons from your state to obtain these tours.
