DeLauro on Israeli Wildfire Tragedy

Washington, DC— Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-3) issued the following statement in reaction to the wildfire tragedy in Israel, where more than 40 people have died in the last two days:

“My thoughts and prayers go out to the families and loved ones of those who have lost their lives in these fires. It is my hope that these wildfires are extinguished as quickly as possible and that further tragedy is prevented. I fully support the disaster assistance the United States has offered, and I am pleased to see that so many other countries, including the United Kingdom, Cyprus, Greece, Turkey, and Russia, have extended their help as well.”

For those seeking assistance obtaining information about American friends and relatives in the affected area, please call Congresswoman DeLauro’s District Office at (203) 562-3718.
