documents issued by the Circuit Court for St. Lucie County,
Florida, in connection with a civil case pending there, and
that after consultation with the Office of General Counsel,
he had determined that compliance with the subpoena was
consistent with the privileges and rights of the House.
The House received a communication from Honorable Gregory W.
Meeks, Member of Congress. Pursuant to Rule VIII of the
Rules of the House of Representatives, Mr. Meeks notified
the House that his district office had been served with a
subpoena for documents issued by the U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New York, and that after
consultation with the Office of General Counsel, he had
determined that compliance with the subpoena was consistent
with the privileges and rights of the House.
