Note: The House subsequently, on Thursday, February 11, 2009, received a message from the Senate transmitting its adoption of H. Con. Res. 235.

The House adjourned pursuant to a previous special order. The next meeting is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on February 12, 2010, unless it sooner has received a message from the Senate transmitting its adoption of H.Con.Res. 235, in which case the House shall stand adjourned pursuant to that concurrent resolution.

On motion to adjourn Agreed to by voice vote.

Mr. Larsen (WA) moved that the House do now adjourn.

2:09 P.M. -
Mr. Larsen (WA) asked unanimous consent That when the House adjourns on Tuesday, February 9, 2010, it adjourn to meet at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 12, 2010, unless it sooner has received a message from the Senate transmitting its concurrence in H.Con.Res. 235, in which case the House shall stand adjourned pursuant to that concurrent resolution. Agreed to without objection.

The Speaker announced approval of the Journal. Pursuant to clause 1, rule I, the Journal stands approved.

Today's prayer was offered by Chaplain Phillip Lee, Marine Forces Reserve, New Orleans, Louisiana.

2:00 P.M. -
The House convened, returning from a recess continuing the legislative day of February 9.

12:41 P.M. -
The Speaker announced that the House do now recess. The next meeting is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. today.

12:30 P.M. -
MORNING-HOUR DEBATE - The House proceeded with Morning-Hour Debate. At the conclusion of Morning-Hour, the House will recess until 2:00 p.m. for the start of legislative business.

The Speaker designated the Honorable Donna F. Edwards to act as Speaker pro tempore for today.

The House convened, starting a new legislative day.
