10:28 P.M. -
The House adjourned pursuant to a previous special order. The next meeting is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. on January 29, 2010.

10:27 P.M. -
Mr. Ryan (OH) moved that that the message of the President be referred to the Committee of the Whole House on the State of the Union and be ordered printed as a House document (H. Doc. 111-80). The motion was agreed to.

10:26 P.M. -
The House was called to order.

JOINT SESSION DISSOLVED - The Speaker declared the Joint Session of the two Houses dissolved.

8:36 P.M. -
JOINT SESSION - The House convened in Joint Session with the Senate for the purpose of receiving an address from the President of the United States on the subject of the state of the Union.

8:35 P.M. -
The House convened, returning from a recess continuing the legislative day of January 27.

2:34 P.M. -
The Speaker announced that the House do now recess. The next meeting is scheduled for 8:35 P.M. today at which time the House will meet in Joint Session with the Senate to receive an address from the President of the United States.

JOHN C. STENNIS CENTER FOR PUBLIC SERVICE TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT - Pursuant to section 114(b) of the John C. Stennis Center for Public Service Training and Development Act (2 U.S.C. 1103), and the order of the House of January 6, 2009, the Speaker appointed the following member of the House to the JOHN C.
