In addition, the amendment would increase the authorized appropriations to carry out this subsection by $2,000,000 each per year to $12,000,000 in fiscal year 2010 and $14,000,000 in fiscal year 2011.

The council is tasked with providing a report to Congress on rural entrepreneurship, and to provide ongoing advice and recommendations to foster rural entrepreneurs.
