of the Rules of the House of Representatives, Mr. Meurer
notified the House that he had been served with a subpoena
issued in the Superior Court of California, County of Shasta
for testimony in a criminal case and that after consultation
with the Office of General Counsel, he had determined that
compliance with the subpoena is consistent with the
precedents and privileges of the House.
