Demetrius Harris (center) set up a satellite that will receive a signal enabling the Deployable Joint Command and Control (DJC2) system to connect to unclassified and classified networks and function properly.  An evaluator from the DJC2 Joint Program Office (right) monitors their progress to gauge their ability to perform this task correctly and efficiently during a mission readiness exercise.

Newsmaker Profile: Army Brig. Gen. Jeff Colt
Army Brig. Gen. Jeff Colt, Joint Unmanned Aircraft Systems Center of Excellence (JUAS COE) director, recently led Blue Knight 2010, an unmanned aircraft system (UAS) demonstration testing U.S. manned and unmanned joint force capabilities against airborne UAS.  Colt, JUAS COE commander for the past 16 months, recently sat down to talk about Blue Knight 2010, why it was important and the future of counter UAS.

Odierno assumes USJFCOM command
Army Gen. Raymond T. Odierno assumes command of USJFCOM from acting commander Army Lt. Gen. Keith M. Huber. Huber, the USJFCOM deputy commander, had been serving as acting commander of the Norfolk-based organization since early August when he took over for Marine Corps Gen. James N. Mattis.
