Forbes Statement on the Virginia Tech Tragedy

Washington, D.C. – Congressman J. Randy Forbes (VA-04) has issued the following statement about the tragedy on the campus of Virginia Tech today in Blacksburg:

“Today brought unimaginable horror and sadness to Virginia Tech University and the Commonwealth of Virginia. Although over seven million people call the Commonwealth home, Virginia is and has always been like a large family. Virginia Tech is such a prominent and large university, and almost all of us have family, coworkers, neighbors, friends, or members of our churches that are attending or are alumni of this much-loved institution. It feels like we have lost part of our family. Although there are questions that remain to be answered, right now, our attention and our prayers are with the victims, their families, and the entire Virginia Tech community.”
