Project name: Scalable Monitoring Technology for Transportation Infrastructure
Research and deploy bridge monitoring technology on two bridges in the 5th District: Robertson Bridge in Danville and I-64 over Route 250 West in Albemarle County. The bridges have been identified as structurally deficient; the monitoring system will track the soundness of these aging bridges and allow for immediate attention if required.

This would expand connections between the ports of the Atlantic with Midwestern markets, and help address serious concerns about highway safety, U.S. competitiveness and freight movement.
