Building on 35 years of excellence in Hispanic higher education, The Hispanic Scholarship Fund recently launched "Generation 1st Degree," an initiative aimed at putting a college degree in every Latino household and creating a strong and enduring impact on the college outlook of Latino families across the country. HSF President and CEO Frank Alvarez announced the new campaign at the organization’s first Education Summit in New York City.
Generation 1st Degree is a national campaign to provide Latinos—the nation’s fastest growing population—with the tools they will need to succeed in an economy that increasingly requires a college educated workforce. For more information about Generation 1st Degree click here

The 2010 HSF Alumni Hall of Fame Gala took place on the evening of the Education Summit in ballroom of New York’s Mandarin Oriental Hotel. The event recognized the achievements of outstanding HSF alumni whose incredible stories demonstrate the power of higher education. Read more
