Wisconsin is an extraordinarily beautiful state with a proud conservation history. I am honored to hold the Senate seat once held by Gaylord Nelson – the great Wisconsin environmentalist and founder of Earth Day. I try to carry that tradition forward through my service in the Senate, by working to safeguard our public lands and wildlife, protect the quality of our water and air, and preserve Wisconsin's and our nation's natural resources.
