Internships

Internships are a wonderful opportunity for college students and recent graduates to learn about government through public service. While internships are unpaid, students gain a wealth of skills and knowledge working in the United States Senate.

In order to process your intern application, please submit the materials listed below together, as one package.

  • Cover Letter (Be sure to indicate which office, D.C. or Montana, you would like to work in.)
  • Resume with three references
  • A completedInternship Application FormInternship Application Form
  • A writing sample of up to two pages (optional)

To apply for an internship in one of Senator Tester's state offices, please fax or mail your complete application package to the relevant office. Applications for state office internships are evaluated on a rolling basis, without reference to the sessions and deadlines for the Washington, D.C. office.
