I have heard reports that seniors have been targeted for identity theft around the $250 donut hole checks being sent out this year. So here is some information you should know about to protect yourself.
There is no application process to receive these checks and no private company will be involved in getting your rebate check to you. There have been reports that seniors are being called by individuals requesting their social security numbers, saying they are working on getting the senior their donut hole check.
