"Being an intern at Representative Polis’ Washington DC office was an excellent experience and learning opportunity. Not only did I get to learn hands-on about the legislative process, but I saw how exciting and enriching working for the U.S. Congress can be.”

-Justin K.

“The experience of working at Congressman Polis’ office has been very beneficial. Working in the professional environment of the Washington DC legislative office taught me the political process, and I’ll never forget the experience. Everyone in the office is very friendly and helpful.”

-Katy S.

Intern, 2009

My office is always accepting resumes from anyone interested in interning for academic credit.

By assisting the Congressman’s district staff, interns have the opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge about how a Congressional office provides constituent services, interacts with the community.

Interns in the Washington and Colorado district offices will have an opportunity to learn about the legislative process and the federal government by working closely with the legislative, communications, and constituent services staff members.

All internships are unpaid and candidates who are chosen for the Washington, DC office are responsible for paying their travel and living expenses.  However, interns in any office can arrange to receive academic credit for their work.

Deadlines:

Summer -- March 31; Fall -- July 31; Spring -- November 30.
