Appropriations Requests

In an effort to increase transparency, Congress has moved to make the appropriations process more accountable to the people by making requests for appropriations available to the public. These appropriations requests, or “earmarks,” are funding requests made by individual Representatives for specific projects.

These appropriations requests are an important part of the Federal Budget process. They direct funds to cost-effective local projects, and can make a significant impact in cash strapped neighborhoods by creating jobs, improving infrastructure, and helping local communities.

Congressman Brady has consistently supported requests that make a difference in the First District, and will continue to seek funding for these important projects. All of the requests for appropriations received by Congressman Brady are listed below in alphabetical order. Listed are the name of the project, the organization making the request, the amount of funds requested, and a brief description of the purpose of the project.
