LOWELL, MA – November 23, 2010 - Congresswoman Niki Tsongas released the following statement expressing her sympathy and condolences for the lives lost in the tragic stampede that occurred on the final day of Cambodia’s water festival.

“I am fortunate to represent a large Cambodian-American community in Lowell that has deep ties to their native country.  I join with them in expressing my deepest sympathies and condolences for the loss of life that occurred after the conclusion of the Cambodian water festival yesterday. My thoughts are with the families of all of those who were touched by this tragedy.”
