The story of Hanukkah teaches us that hope and light can prevail over adversity and darkness when a great nation keeps faith with its core values. Like Israel of old, an America united for the common good will prevail over the many challenges facing our own great nation. I join my constituents in wishing a Happy Hanukkah to all celebrating the Festival of Lights in Long Island and throughout the world.
