Congressional Page Program

Congressional Page Program

" Pages have been serving the House of Representatives for nearly two hundred years. Working as a team, Pages assist Members with their legislative duties, deliver correspondence and small packages within the congressional complex, answer phones in the Member cloakrooms, and prepare the House Floor for sessions. "

The Congressional Page Program is an opportunity for high school juniors to play an active role in the day-to-day activities of the legislative branch of our government. Pages who take part in the fall or spring sessions attend The Page School where they take classes beginning at 6:45 a.m. that  include math, English, social studies, science, French/Spanish, and computer technology. It is administered through the Office of the Clerk but applicants are selected through the majority and minority leadership. Applications are submitted to each candidate's Member of Congress. Due to the limited number of Page positions available, not all Members of Congress are eligible to sponsor Page applicants. Member's are notified on a session by session basis as to their nominating privileges. If I am ineligible to sponsor a candidate, students from the fourth district may submit their application to another Connecticut office. For additional details about the program, application requirements, and my current nominating privileges please contact Devon Kearns at devon.kearns@mail.house.gov or call my Washington, DC office at 202-225-5541.

Additional details can be found on The  U.S. House of Representatives Page website .
